Appellants Sivakumar (A-2) and Senthil (A-1) were tried along with two others for offences including murder, arising from a land dispute. The deceased, Kaliyamurthy, was fencing his property, which A-1 objected to. A-1 attacked the deceased with an 'Aruval', injuring PW-4 who intervened.
